Women Artists Come Together For A Cause

America’s women and their passionate friends will dress in layers and gather on the Mall in Washington D.C. on January 21st, the Saturday after the inauguration. The event will bring attention to the recent increase in hurtful and insensitive discourse that has left many Americans feeling marginalized, objectified, and even threatened.

The folks organizing the event reached out to us creative American ladies for some artwork they can put on their signs and banners. I don’t usually submit work to contests or creative calls, but I thought, what the heck, I’m a female artist, right? I’ve been busy writing this past year, so it was fantastic to get back into Illustrator and indulge the print designer again.

The message of this year’s march is one of unity, but also of treating each other with respect and kindness. Seems like a good policy in general.
