Repostería Menu Re-Design

A group of us were given the opportunity to come up with a new layout for Pambiche’s menu. I remember it being of muted tonality, so I brightened it up with the caribbean aqua and pink tones. My version would print onto 8.5 by 14 heavy-ish text weight stock and be tri-folded. This is a typical arrangement for a take-out menu, and they could adapt my concept to their larger, existing in-house menus if it seemed too diminutive. Having said that, one thing I like about my layout is that it’s held in the diner’s hand in landscape orientation. A large, portrait-oriented menu is sometimes overbearing, the folks at the table have to move the menu aside to confabulate about the vittles. With a more squat design, they can talk to each other as they make their selections.
